Effective August 1, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is using the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system to determine whether U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)-required documents have been filed for imports of controlled substances and listed chemicals into the United States prior to their actual arrival.
