Union Calls More ‚Warning Strikes‘ at German Ports as Talks Restart

German trade union ver.di has called on its members to take part in ’warning strikes’ that threaten to paralyze German sea ports before round four of negotiations begin. The fourth round of collective bargaining will be on July 11 and 12 in Bremen (source: The Loadstar).

As a result of the anticipated work stoppages, disruptions to operations at the affected container terminals in the Port of Hamburg and Bremerhaven are to be expected. EMO Trans and its partners are making every effort to minimize the impact as much as possible. We are closely monitoring the situation and will inform customers if any shipments are affected by delays.
