BÄRENHERZ – THE FOUNDATION FOR SEVERELY ILL CHILDREN

In the spring of 2002, the Bärenherz Foundation was established with the aim to promote and support projects and facilities for severely ill and disabled children and adolescents, and their families. This includes the setting up and operation of children’s hospices. Support is geared toward the relief of families with terminally ill children who have a limited life expectancy.

In 2004 EMO-TRANS GmbH became a sponsor and has worked with the foundation ever since. Both the company and the employees follow, with great interest, the development of this establishment, which is financed exclusively by private donations without public subsidies.

During a visit to a children’s home in Wiesbaden, resident children presented paintings they had made. It is a very special achievement when one considers that the paintings were made by children, adolescents and adults with multiple and severe disabilities.
